JOHN BUSH, PhD
John Bush is the president and principal engineer at OTS Energy, with a decade of experience in research and innovation in thermal systems and grid connectivity working closely with utilities, manufacturers and end-users worldwide. John’s primary expertise relates to heat pumps, refrigeration systems, efficiency and electrification. In his free time, he enjoys being a dad, running, mountain biking and playing guitar.
REGINA HONG
Regina Hong is an engineer who joined the OTS Energy team in 2021. Regina’s primary interests are data analysis and sustainability. She completed a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland in 2021, and is pursuing a Masters focusing on systems engineering. In her free time, Regina continues to enjoy traditional Chinese dance, a hobby she has had since her childhood. Regina is also learning to play the bass guitar.
JOE VADDER, PE
Joe Vadder is Director of Engineering at OTS Energy. With over 21 years in the cooling and thermal storage equipment manufacturing industry, he has developed numerous innovative products and holds 48 patents worldwide. Joe has advanced experience developing software for equipment selection, energy savings and water usage. In his spare time, Joe enjoys spending time with his family, gardening and 3D printing.
OPTIMIZED THERMAL SYSTEMS
Optimized Thermal Systems Inc. is a team of engineers with expert knowledge in heat transfer, thermal analysis, software simulation, optimization and physical testing of HVAC&R systems and components. Founded by Dr. Reinhard Radermacher and colleagues, Optimized Thermal Systems has provided expert consulting services to the HVAC&R industry since 2002. Optimized Thermal Systems have a wide range of capabilities, from developing software tools to optimizing a design to building and testing systems for performance validation under real-world operating conditions.
