JOHN BUSH, PhD
John Bush is the president and principal engineer at OTS Energy, with a decade of experience in research and innovation in thermal systems and grid connectivity working closely with utilities, manufacturers and end-users worldwide. John’s primary expertise relates to heat pumps, refrigeration systems, efficiency and electrification. In his free time, he enjoys being a dad, running, mountain biking and playing guitar.
REINHARD RADERMACHER
OTS Energy was co-founded by Reinhard Radermacher.
Dr. Radermacher was a visionary and legend of our industry, known around the world for his research and leadership at the University of Maryland and the CEEE. He also founded or co-founded several innovative companies, including OTS Energy and our sister company, OTS R&D. He was also a cherished friend, mentor and advisor.
We are proud to have known Reinhard, and seek to honor his legacy.
REGINA HONG
Regina Hong is an engineer who joined the OTS Energy team in 2021. Regina’s primary interests are data analysis and sustainability. She completed a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland in 2021, and is pursuing a Masters focusing on systems engineering. In her free time, Regina continues to enjoy traditional Chinese dance, a hobby she has had since her childhood. Regina is also learning to play the bass guitar.
OTS R&D
OTS R&D, Inc. is a team of engineers with expert knowledge in heat transfer, thermal analysis, software simulation, optimization and physical testing of HVAC&R systems and components. Founded by Dr. Reinhard Radermacher and colleagues from Optimized Thermal Systems, Inc., OTS R&D provides consulting services and laboratory testing at their facility in Beltsville, Maryland. OTS R&D has a wide range of capabilities, from developing software tools and optimizing designs, to building and testing systems for performance validation under real-world operating conditions.
